Lane-Filtering Behavior of Motorcycle Riders at Signalized Urban Intersections

In developing countries, motorcycle riders typically perform lane filtering at signalized urban intersections. This study aims to determine the factors that affect lateral clearance of as they travel between two lanes mixed traffic intersections in countries. this study, an onboard measurement device was developed measure lane-filtering behavior riders. It installed on a test continuously record clearance, riding behavior, and surrounding conditions. Thirty participants rode through intersection. Multilevel linear regression applied analyze relationship relevant variables significance level 0.05. The instant speed side motorcycle, condition vehicle, type frequency rider significantly influenced clearance. findings can contribute management, connected autonomous vehicles, microscopic simulations for motorcycles traveling
